Professional Background
Before founding Querious, Hilary spent more than a decade practicing law across law firms, in-house legal teams, and technology companies. She advised more than 40 healthcare startups on the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and HIPAA at Redesign Health and previously served as product counsel and healthcare regulatory counsel at IBM Watson Health, including through the business’s 2022 divestiture. Earlier in her career, she practiced at K&L Gates and Womble Bond Dickinson and clerked for administrative law judges at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Hilary is a frequent speaker and CLE faculty member on the responsible use of AI in legal practice, with more than 20 speaking engagements since 2025 and CLE programming across 8+ states. Her work focuses on the professional responsibility, confidentiality, privacy, privilege, and consent issues raised by AI in attorney-client conversations.
