Frequently Asked Questions
How does Querious assist during meetings?
Querious joins your virtual meetings (Zoom, Teams, or Google™ Meet) and acts like a second set of eyes and ears—without recording the full conversation. It listens for legal context and quietly supports you in real time by:
Prompting relevant legal issues or follow-up questions
Surfacing statutes, regulations, or guidance tied to the conversation
Flagging moments that may need follow-up or documentation
Capturing billing details and key takeaways to streamline post-meeting admin
Querious is built specifically for attorneys. Everything it does is designed to enhance your judgment, not replace it. The result? The ability to deliver sharper advice and reduce the administrative burden of every conversation.
Is Querious suitable for all practice areas?
Yes, Querious is designed to support attorneys across a wide range of practice areas. Whether you're handling corporate transactions, employment matters, healthcare compliance, intellectual property, or general litigation, Querious helps you stay sharp during client conversations by surfacing relevant issues, suggesting follow-ups, and capturing key takeaways.
Because it doesn’t rely on templates or static checklists, Querious adapts to the unique flow of each meeting. Our users include solo practitioners, boutique firms, and large multi-practice firms—each leveraging Querious to reduce administrative drag and enhance client service.
If you have a highly specialized or niche practice, we’re happy to explore customizations to fit your needs.
Does Querious comply with professional standards?
When attorneys adopted email, cloud storage, and virtual meeting platforms over the years, the legal profession ultimately concluded that these technologies were not considered third parties that waive privilege, as long as the parties using the technologies had an expectation of privacy and reasonable security safeguards were in place (e.g., encryption, firewalls).
In the absence of case law and ethics opinions directly addressing whether generative AI in virtual meetings waives privilege, we believe that past analyses are the best guidance. Based on such guidance, Querious can be used without waiving privilege because we have incorporated numerous security safeguards into our product, including automatically removing personal information from transcribed text, privately deploying LLMs to analyze your conversations, hosting the product in a secure cloud environment, and employing end-to-end encryption.
We encourage you to do your own research and analysis. We would be happy to discuss your findings.
How is Querious different from general purpose AI tools?
Querious does not use your data to train large language models. Unlike general purpose AI notetakers, Querious does not create an audio file and/or transcript of your entire conversation. Our default data retention period for post-meeting summaries is 60 days, but attorneys can customize it to a shorter period of time. Attorneys can request deletion of their data at any time.
Unlike platform AI-assistants (e.g., Microsoft Co-Pilot or Google™ Gemini), Querious is multi-platform and joins virtual meetings in Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google™ Meet. Furthermore, we do not require attorneys to be prompt engineers. We take care of the prompting behind the scenes, so that you can follow your natural workflow.
What is the ROI on Querious?
Our attorney users have estimated that they spend almost five hours a day in virtual client meetings. They also estimate spending about five (5) minutes of time drafting billing entries and other billing activities per hour of meetings. As a result of Querious automatically drafting billing entries (i.e., narrative and duration), attorneys can unlock significant time and revenue.
For example, a single attorney spends 5 hours x 5 days per week x 50 weeks per year = 1,250 hours in virtual meetings per year. We estimate that they save 1,250 hours x 5 min/60 min (admin time) = 104.167 hours per year of admin work saved. If the attorney spends that time on billable work, which is work that Querious helped them identify through real-time issue spotting, at an average billing rate of $353 per hour = $353 per hour x 104.167 hours per year = $36,770 annual revenue opportunity.
